Aug 30, 2017 pfSense DNS Resolver not working with VPN : PFSENSE Now, I have a pfSense installation with some VLANS (for LAN, GUESTS, IOT..) in the 172.x subnets. I have set up the DNS Resolver (Unbound) to answer requests from Localhost and my local interfaces. I am also using pfblockerNG.Everything was working great, DNS queries from my clients were routed to pfsense, and unbound would fetch the IPs. The collection of host-name-to-IP-address mappings contained with the DNS database is also known as a namespace. Essentially, when looking for a name in DNS, the DNS client first checks a top-level DNS server database. That server tells the client which DNS server hosts the next part of the DNS name, and the client then queries that server.
Sep 17, 2012 · All working well, but we realised the subnet of the IP address was wrong, so we went into the Network Properties of the server and changed the IP from 192.168.10.2 to 192.168.0.50 The server was rebooted, but now we can't open DNS, Server Management, Network Properties etc, they just hang.
